Frequently Asked Questions:

What all should I expect out of our first conversation?

Everything detailed related! Project details, contract, invoice, process. We'll go over everything together!

Why should I hire a professional photographer?

At the risk of sounding bias, I believe quality of photos are one of the best investments you can make. Both for professional reasons as well as personal. These photos you invest in now will be appreciated endlessly and never depreciate in value! They only get more beautiful and meaningful with time.

This is my first photoshoot, what should I expect?

You would be surprised how often people that are getting in front of a camera for the first time end up being the best of clients! My best advice is to come comfortable and excited. This experience isn't meant to come with pressure. We want you to be at your lightest so that capturing you is natural.

documentation wise, what all should i expect to receive from you?

You will receive 3 documents from me.

  • A contract
  • An invoice
  • A post-shoot survey
What is your cancellation/reschedule policy?

Look life happens, for both a client and a photographer. Things come up. Flexibility is my mantra. All I ask is that you be professional and mindful when rescheduling (strive to give at least minimum 24 hour notice and I will do the same).

As it goes for rescheduling, I allow 2 total reschedules. However, if after the 3rd scheduled date you need to reschedule yet again, you will forfeit your payment in total with no refund. Same goes for myself. If after the 3rd scheduled date I need to reschedule yet again, I will refund your payment entirely, deposit included (these are both extremely rare cases).

On your services page it says "From $___". What is typically included in your base packages?

My base packages vary upon the package styles but typically will include at least 30 minutes of shooting, 1 outfit, 5-15 photos, and portfolio return within 2 weeks (unless stated otherwise).

Photoshoots can be a bit pricey, do you offer negotiating costs/payment plans?

YES. One thing I promised myself when I began photography was that if someone was genuinely interested in working with me, I would never price them out of my services. While there is a certain standard I must uphold myself too, I will always be flexible and try and find a middle ground with a client.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept multiple forms of payments! All major credit cards (American Express, Mastercard, VISA, Discover), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Zelle, Venmo, and even offer payment plans through Klarna and Affirm.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. In order to secure your date and time a 25% non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit is included in the total and is due upon signing your contract.

when is my payment due?

Payment is always preferably paid in full upon signing of contract to ensure no delays. However, I am very flexible and if a payment plan is needed I will help to the best of my ability. I ask that your invoice total be paid in full at least 72 hours before your photoshoot (unless discussed otherwise).

Do you do refunds?

While I understand photography services can be a hefty investment, I do not do refunds (besides those listed in contract). Communication can be had about solutions to any circumstances that arise but rest assure you will be heavily involved in the process from the start!

Do you cover studio rental costs?

I do. The invoice you receive will have a detailed layout of the services I am providing and the price for each service. You will not have to book any studio times or purchase any passes/tickets, this will all be done in advance by yours truly!

How will I receive my photos after the photoshoot?

An online gallery! You will get them delivered directly to your email when they are complete. I also have additional forms of sharing that can be discussed for additional costs.

Do you keep backups of all photos?

I do! Have no fear. I keep your photos stored in Lightroom, in Cloud storage, on a physical hard drive, & also in your personal online gallery.

Do you do referral bonuses?

Yes absolutely! If you refer someone to me and they mention it in their initial call with me, I will gladly provide a negotiated referral bonus (typically $25-50 for lower end shoots and $125-150 for higher end shoots).
